Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2015

Hi all

Anyone who has seen my first couple of posts will know that I am very new to blogging. Then what should pop up in my inbox.......That's right an email for the Graphic 45 design team call. After trying to talk myself out of it and lots of procrastination, a friend convinced me to go for it her comment of "they can only say no" seemed to be the kick up the butt I needed.

so here goes

I love making Albums, big ones, little ones, anything that needs constructing. I made the cover from chipboard wrapped in a kraft file, I used a sheet of  white card which I coloured with Pealed paint distress ink, I stamped over that using texture stamps from The Artistic Stamper and then randomly stamped over that with Graphic 45's Time to Flourish months of the year stamps. I die cut some flowers using the scraps of card that were left over and layered them up the make the flowers, the cover is finished off with Green ribbon as a closure and black gems.

There are 12 pages inside one for each month of the year, all decorated with Graphic 45 Time to Flourish papers, I loved the papers so much I did not want to add too much embellishment to the pages, but I did used the corresponding cut apart sheets to add tabs and tags, Inside each page is a large photo mat for extra space for all those memory's you can collect through the year.

I re-decorated an old box using the An Eerie Tale 12 by 12 paper stack. First I painted the box with black paint mixed with a little pva glue as the box was slightly glossy.

I used both sheets with the main image as I used the second to layer up and add some dimension to the image, I die cut some flowers out of book pages (which I would add to everything if I could) and layered them up finishing them off with a bead in the centre, I then added some die cut gears and spots of Cosmic Shimmer coloured pearlescent pva.

Below is one of my all time favourite projects sits on my side and no matter who ask for them I just keep having to say no. I picked up three tins from Ikea years ago and then got bored with how they looked so out came the graphic 45 paper stash. Steam-punk Spells is my most favourite papers pack, I wrapped each of the tins with a different paper and cut a panel for the top with the same pattern. using the matching sticker sheet I added the letters and the words around the tops of the tins.

Then came the stuff ......... I cut two of the labels and one of the small toppers from a sheet, and added glossy ascents to sections like the clock faces, the words, and the skeleton. Then I covered with charms and metal bits and bobs I had collected  black gems and some white flowers that I lightly went over with distress inks.

The last project here is one that has not been made with any Graphic 45 products but it is very me so here it is.

The box was cut using a die from chipboard. It cuts in two sections that are glued together to form the box. I then painted the box black and created the paper from white card stock, covered in distress inks and stamped over. I used beads for feet and added different elements on the top and a chain for a closure.

Inside are two mini note book, the covers were made in the same way as the box and are stitched together.

Thanks for reading, my fingers are crossed
