Wow, it seems ages since I have made something I can share with everyone. The sun is out and it's warmer (mostly) and I always feel like playing on canvas when that happens. Its pretty basic but I think that's why I love it.
So to start with I mixed up a three different sprays from my Colour Lab kit, which is a diy paint kit by Marion Smith Designs. It was my first time playing with these, and I had to constantly remind myself that they will always react to water, and to let it dry completely between different colour sprays or it will all just over blend to one colour (patience it not my strongest skill, and the waiting did drive me a little nuts). After I had finished spraying I added some texture paste over a Donna Downey Mask and left to dry (again).
I then stamped out some word on an old book page and several flowers (Donna Downey stamp), which I layered up and positioned as I wanted. I then added some finishing touches with what is my must have crafty tool at the moment a black pen.
