The Artistic Stamper Challenge for August- Anything Goes

It's the start of a new month that means a new challenge over on The Artistic Stampers Creative Teams blog and its anything goes..................................... so I made a Hanging.

I started with three plain pieces of white board. On a mat I mixed texture paste with a small amount of black acrylic paint and scraped it over the board in different areas. Into this I stamped The Artistic Stampers Cog Background. Once that dried I stamped over the top with more black acrylic and the Lace Background stamp.

 Once that was dried I painted over the top with a slightly watered down mixtures of paints, The colours I used were all from Adirondack paint dabber's (Mushroom, Watermelon and Stream). I added small amounts of black to darken the colours.

Then I stamped some more with the lace background stamp, and rubbed a pencil over the top to catch some of the raised areas.

After that it was a matter of raiding the stash, I joined the section together using a chain. Painted some wooden and card pieces using the same colours and processes. I stamped the octopus with the Dots background stamp, and some Cogs on tissue paper and corrugated card. Then I dusted the whole thing with treasure gold.
