Green canvas

Hi All

I love, love love, Donna Downey, she is an amazing artist, who clearly loves what she does. I was recently flicking through some of her you tube videos. when I talked my self into playing with my paints and only my paints. This is unheard of from me, I like adding, and playing with papers and pastes, and stamps. Once I got started stencils and pit pens soon got added to the paints, although its not the most amazing picture in the world, I had such a fun, relaxing time doing it and I learnt so much. I never realised how much I liked blending paints with my hands. Such messy, messy fun.

I started by coating an old canvas with Gesso

blending different shades of green over the top, and through stencils.

more stencilling over the top, with orange and white paint, you can also still see some of the old red coming through.

Then I drew out some leaves and circles , Donna uses a lot of these in her art work. After this I added more oranges to the leaves and stencilling with black, and orange pens
