Hi Everyone
I hope everyone has enjoyed the holidays and a Happy New Year to you all.
This months challenge over on The Artistic Stamper Blog is Anything goes, I hope this post inspires you to pop over and join in.
To start I cut a a curve into the top of a piece of chip board to make a tag, that measured about 25x10 cm. I then covered the whole tag with strips of both book pages and music sheets.

Before I started this tag I decided to only use three colours of Distress Ink. The colours I chose were Pumice Stone, Ground Espresso and Aged Mahogany. I spread some ink over my craft mat and dragged the tag through it repeatedly, drying in-between layers, until I was happy.
Leaving that to dry I stamped and heat embossed the images I wanted to use. these came from Architecture 1 and Gibson Girls 2. I also stamped out a few feathers.
I coloured the stamped images using the same Distress inks, cut them out and glued them in place on the tag.
I then painted around the edges with black paint, stamped out part of a quote "A woman is the full circle" the full quote is " A women is the full circle, within her is the power is create, nurture and transform". I added some Gems to finish.

Neat background idea and love the shape of this!
ReplyDeleteThis is a many splendid design! Love the quote and it is so very true! Your lady looks like she is on top of the world and knows how important she is. Awesome sauce design and the curve at the top of the tag adds a Roman appeal to this fantabulous design. Hugz. ~Niki
