Crafter's Companion
Inspirers Team Post
Hello Everyone
This tutorial is for Crafter's Companion Inspirers team, using the free gifts from issue 10 of the Inspiration magazine. I used the free Hexagon Dies, Exclusive Stamp Set and Paper Crafting CD. Other supplies included chipboard, Kraft card, Distress Ink and Ribbon.
To start I drew around the largest hexagon die, on chipboard. After cutting it out I glued it onto kraft card adding 1cm to all the sides.
After training the card to fold over the chipboard on all sides, I cut away triangles remembering not to cut all the way to the chipboard, so the chipboard would not show through once the tabs were glued over.
I then die cut several hexagons from Kraft card and glued them together using hinges I cut from a strip of card.
I printed some lovely patterned paper from the CD and cut enough of the largest hexagons to cover all of the accordion folded cards sides. before gluing them in place I stamped over the top for added interest and inked the edges.
Using the smallest die I cut several small hexagons to create a large hexagon, and a mid sized hexagon, which I stamped the word love on. which I glued onto the cover, after adding a ribbon closure.
