Crafters Companion Inspirers Post
Hello Everyone
For this post I did a little canvas play, I am not completely happy with the out come but i really enjoyed the process.
I started by cutting strips of paper from the Bo Bunny paper pack to different lengths and widths, which I then glued onto the canvas using a gel medium. Once that was dry I took Spectrum Noir pens that matched in colour and drew over the joins between the paper. Over that I scrapped gesso in places using an old store card, Then I pushed texture paste through the waste from a board game as it had some nice circles.
In two small spray bottles I mixed purple and gold acrylic paint with water. I added a lot more water to the gold paint. I then sprayed the gold over the whole canvas, and the thicker purple in different areas. While the paint was still wet I stood the canvas up and allowed the paint to drip.
Then I applied gold paint to the Hessian embossing folder with a sponge and stamped that over the canvas. Over the top I stamped using stamps from the Splats and Stains set and Archival Ink.
On Neenah card stock I drew out and painted the girl (I found her a few years ago, Sorry I can not remember where), I then formed her dress by die cutting lots of leaves using the Autumn Leaves dies, which I then glued to the girl, before gluing the girl to the canvas. To finish her off I drew around the girl with a black aqua pencil and around the whole canvas with a black pen.
