Time canvas using Gelatos

I wanted to share with you all a canvas I created for the Inspirers design team, using some of the amazing Perfect Partners dies and stamps. The more I look at it the more I think it needs a working pair of clock hands added to it.

I started by die cutting the clock face and cog out of a sheet of acetate. I then used these as masks and stencils through which I scrapped texture paste. After everything had dried I added a coat of gesso. I then scribbled some light blue, dark blue and yellow Gelatos over the whole canvas blending them together with a wet wipe. I then did the dripping from the top to the bottom of the canvas using the same colour Gelatos mixed with some water and white paint.

After some more pesky drying time, which is always so difficult for me, I stamped a few cogs in black ink and gently applied gilding wax over the canvas using my fingers to highlight the texture.

I then die cut lots of cogs and the clock face from black card. using my fingers I applied more gilding wax over the top and glued them into place on the canvas. After stamping the text from the same stamp set I coated the canvas in a layer of gel medium.
