I have a Mini Book to share with you toady for my Crafter's Companion Inspirers post. I made this book using recycled kraft card from an old note/scrapbook as well as stamps and stencils from the Sheena Douglas Grooving 60s collection.
To decorate the cover I sponged Iridescent Violet Blue, Cadmium Orange Hue, and Cerulean Blue Pebeo paints through Sheena's Groovin 60s Tie Dye stencil. I then stamped one of the girls and the word Groovalicious from Sheena's Swingin' Chicks stamp set. After a little doodling, I splattered white paint over the top.
I made papers to decorate the pages using my Gelli plate. Using the same three colours of paint that I used on the cover. I built up layers on the papers using Texture embossing folders for the last layer I sponged white paint through the Tie Dye stencil.
After cutting the papers down to size I stamped Swingin' 60s Chicks on some of the papers, I then cut from the tip of the hands down to the boot with a sharp knife so that notes or pictures can be slipped behind them. Before gluing the papers into the book I doodled around the edges with a black pen.
