The Artistic Stamper Anything Goes Challenge

This months challenge oven on The Artistic Stampers blog is Anything Goes. I have a decorated canvas board with hearts to share with you all. Please pop over to The Artistic Stampers blog to see what my teammates have created and join in the challenge.

STEPS

Using tester pots from the DIY store and a large brush I applied paint across the canvas blending the colours into each other. As this paint is meant for walls it is fast drying and very thick so it will only move so far and you have to continually add to it to get a smooth effect.

Using the same colour paints I applied thin (ish) layers of paint to my glass mat and pressed the stamps into the paint and then stamped directly onto the canvas.

When stamping I build up the layers by overlapping the stamped images.

Then I started to add more interest by using colours that gave me more contrast. 

I painted separate sheets of card red, pink and yellow and die several different sized hearts from each, I stamped a script over the top of them all.

Then I stitched them all together with black thread before gluing them all to the canvas board. To finish I added text with a black calligraphy pen.
